Well, anyone who plowed through yesterday's entry will be able to imagine how disappointed I am today that the two-month contract seems to have gone to some other lucky fellow or gal. Seems the client was keen to have a frequent flier type who could jump on an airplane on short notice to service the distant emergency du jour.

That would not be me.

So all that fuss for nothing. Or maybe some insight can be gleaned from it - like virtually everything that pushes buttons hard enough with alarming results. I'm working on it.
