I think I'm getting cultural whiplash. Thursday night we biked down to the New Belgium brewery for the bike-in movie, and saw one of the crassest coming of age stories ever with SuperBad. It was so raunchy that a bunch of parents who brought kids to the event had to hussle them out after the first half-hour or so. Lots of new vocabulary to explain... Then, last night, I went to a university symphony concert for a superb rendition of Berlioz' An Episode in the Life of an Artist Opus 14, also known as Symphony Fantastique. A fascinating story as well as a milestone symphonic work introduced just a little after Beethoven's 9th, with about as much importance musically.



Today is the Sustainable Living Fair. Never a dull moment.
