Last night I was napping with the Mdog, and saw an odd glow illuminate the west-facing window. I went downstairs and saw the kitchen illuminated by a rose-colored light. When I walked out the back door and looked up, this is what I saw...the red and orange was distributed over the entire hemisphere of the sky for a short time, casting that unreal glow over everything.

Photos never adequately portray these moments, but later when we watched a local weather broadcast, they showed half a dozen digital photos sent in by other people in the area who were as mesmerized as I was.
